On the occasion of the Founder's birthday celebrations, which formed part of the 15th Founder's Day activities, the Chair of the AUN Board of Trustees and Governing Council, High Chief Senator Ben Obi, CON, led the audience to celebrate the Founder and wish him a happy birthday.
Senator Ben Obi noted, light-heartedly, that HE Atiku Abubakar does not look his age by any stretch of the imagination. "As humans, we can only wish him well, but the Good Lord has done a wonderful job on Atiku's good self."
The BoT chair described the Chief Celebrant as a great gift to Africa, considering his passion, vision, and mission to impact lives through education.
Most importantly, the AUN's BoT Chairman reiterated the board's and Governing Council's commitments to ensure the implementation of the Founder's vision and mission.
In the spirit of the moment, Sen. Ben Obi invited a saxophonist to assist him in serenading a birthday song to the Founder at seventy-seven. The audience respectfully rose and joined in the happy birthday song.
