Kukah Centre at AUN, Renews Partnership Commitments

On February 18, 2020, President Dekle received a delegation from The Kukah Centre (TKC), a Nigeria-based policy research institute.

The main aim of the visit, said Father Barkindo, the TKC director and head of the delegation, was to renew partnership commitments between the two institutions.

The two had signed an MOU sometime in 2019.

President Dekle, who received the team in her office, said an AUN-TKC partnership would be a fantastic idea because both institutions' values align so well.

"AUN is known for its digital literacy and library. We are both here to help the North-East."

The Rev. Fr. Barkindo noted that there was no better partner to choose from because, besides shared values, AUN is the only institution that is strategically placed in the areas of development, leadership, and so much more.

AUN has successfully positioned itself as a strategic leader in so many areas. One of the University's major advantages is its robust digital resources which align perfectly with TKC's ProFutura, a project in digital/digitized classrooms for education emergency.

Further discussions on possible areas of collaboration were held with members of the Atiku Center for Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Development. Presentations highlighted the activities of the Atiku Center, from livelihood to education interventions, like those funded by USAID, UNHCR, GIZ, FAO, and more.
