Management expert, Anthony Fadaka, assumed duties on Thursday, September 1, 2022, as the second AUN Registrar/Vice President of Administration. Mr. Fadaka, immediate past Registrar/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered), has taken over from the pioneer University Registrar/VPA, Dr. Andrew Okoli, who has completed his term.
As helmsman at the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the nation's foremost management and human resource body, Mr. Fadaka was responsible for implementing all strategic plans of the Institute's Council and ensuring that the operations of the three directorates aligned with the strategic plans and policies of the Council.
A graduate of Economics from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Mr. Fadaka also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Coventry University in the United Kingdom.
The incoming Registrar also has extensive expertise in Human Resource management and administration. During his successful eight-year stint at NIM, he oversaw the activities of the Capacity Development Directorate and the Human Resources and Management Services Department of the Institute. He has attended numerous management and human resource development courses in the UK, East Africa, and the United Arab Emirates, including a 'Developing Leadership Strategy for Value Creation' course at the University of Pittsburgh, United States of America.
He also served as the Acting Director General / CEO of the Institute of Directors in Lagos from Aug 2013 to April 2014.
Mr. Fadaka is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management, the Chartered Institute of Administrators, and the Institute of Directors, Nigeria.
He is married with children.
