The American University of Nigeria (AUN) is set to launch an innovative initiative, The Indian Space, inspired by the esteemed Indian ambassadors who graced the university during the 2024 Commencement Ceremony. This dynamic platform aims to foster academic and cultural exchange while creating pathways for students and scholars to engage with India’s renowned educational and professional landscape. The Indian ambassador commended AUN for its forward-thinking approach and emphasized the importance of partnerships that promote education and cultural exchange between nations.
The Indian Space will serve as a dedicated hub on AUN’s campus, equipped with 157 books on Indian. This resource center will not only enrich AUN’s library collection but also provide a deeper understanding of India’s intellectual and cultural heritage. A standout feature of the Indian Space is its provision of links to graduate scholarships in Indian universities, this initiative opens a gateway for AUN students and undergraduates to pursue advanced studies in India’s prestigious institutions.
In addition to its academic resources, the Indian Space will include some vibrant engagement opportunities for events and watching Indian movies. The pace will also foster collaboration and networking between students, faculty, and visiting scholars, further strengthening ties between Nigeria and India through AUN.
