On December 1, 2023, President DeWayne Frazier received in audience a delegation of the Council of Legal Education (CLE) led by the Director-General of the Nigerian Law School (NLS), Prof. Isa Hayatu Chiroma SAN.
Professor Isa Chiroma, SAN, who served meritoriously as Deputy Director General for the Yola Campus of the Nigerian Law School before assuming his current position as Director General, played a very crucial role in preparing and securing approval for the AUN law program between 2015 and 2016.
Professor Isa Chiroma led a team of NLS senior management staff for a facility inspection of the new AUN School of Law building on behalf of the Council for Legal Education.
The erudite Prof. Chiroma and his team gave a nod of approval to the new AUN Law facilities. They were highly satisfied with what they saw, after a facility inspection conducted by the dean of the AUN School of Law, Professor Yusuf Mohammed.
Professor Chiroma described the building as excellent and one that boasts futuristic features. He assured that he would take the video clip of the building and make a very good recommendation to increase the admission quota for AUN to the Council of Legal Education. He has done it before and can do it again. He offered some advice on how to beef up the teaching staff to enable AUN to introduce higher law degrees.
President Frazier thanked Professor Isa Chiroma and his delegation for their fair consideration and pledged to immediately act on the recommendations they made.
Professor Chiroma's delegation comprised the Nigeria Bar Association Representative, Mr. Mohd Gambo Gujba, the Attorney General of Taraba State, Yakubu Maikasuwa SAN, NLS Council Secretary and Director of Administration, Mr. Adewale Osho, NLS Director, and Law Librarian, Mr. O.S. Akinwumi, and NLS Director of Exams and Records, Mr. B.S. Bello.
President DeWayne Frazier led the AUN senior management team which included the Provost/VPAA, Professor Attahir Yusuf, Dean, School of Law, Prof. Muhammad Yusuf Yusuf, and Director of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance, Prof. Abdulmumini Sa'ad.
