The Graduate School of the American University of Nigeria (AUN) and the University of Kigali (UoK) Graduate School have held discussion on collaborations in research.
The framework of the collaboration between the Graduate Schools of the two African countries was made known on April 14, 2023, during a meeting between Professor Chris Mbah, Dean of the AUN Graduate School, and his University of Kigali counterpart, Dr. Kwena Ronald alongside the Deputy Director of Digital Opportunity Trust Rwanda, Dr. Nzeyimana Emmanuel, in Kigali.
The meeting discussed, among other things, prospects of collaboration in terms of research that will benefit faculty and students of the UoK Graduate School and explored possibilities of Professors from the American University of Nigeria mentoring UoK Master's graduates for doctoral studies.
The American University of Nigeria's profile as the premier development University in Africa formed the basis for this collaboration to train UoK Master's students for developmental purposes.
Dean of the UoK Graduate School, Dr. Kwena, mentioned that in addition to a lecture Professor Mbah delivered for the Executive Master of Business Administration students on New and Emerging Study Models for Development, he has graciously accepted to deliver two more lecturers in June 2023 for faculty and students.
"We are excited to announce that Professor Chris Mbah will deliver a lecture on "Tips to Improving Research Output" for faculty and "Be SMART to Develop an Innovative and Competitive Society" for students."
Prof. Mbah is a Professor of International Business and Marketing and has published many peer-reviewed articles in professional and academic journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings.
