Engr. Umar holds a BSc. in Petroleum Chemistry from the American University of Nigeria Yola, an MSc from the Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Education studies from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Engr. Umar Nabil Sabo, an AUN Alumni is returning to AUN from the National Engineering and Technical Company (a subsidiary of NNPC) in Lagos, where he served as a Process Design Engineer in the Front – End Engineering Design project for the Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Train-7 Project.
He has also served in various capacities such as the Atiku Institute for Development where he volunteered in UN projects (FAO, UNHCR, USAID, etc.) and the Banking Industry with Zenith International Bank Plc.
Waste Management, Climate, and Environmental challenges prompted him to work on Thermal Catalytic Cracking of Polypropylene to produce Fuel (Pyrolysis) and Biodiesel production. He is currently a Research Assistant and a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Technology Petronas, Malaysia specializing in Enhanced Oil Recovery (Carbon dioxide (CO2) injection).
